M·A·C LOVER LOYALTY PROGRAM ("PROGRAM") FAQS

M·A·C Lover is Estee Lauder’s Hellas S.A. consumer loyalty program for M·A·C Cosmetics, a makeup-lovers’ cult for the lover, seduced, devoted and downright obsessed.

"The Program is available to individuals who are legal residents of Greece and at least 18 years old or older who provide and maintain a valid email address, mobile number and name and surname. Individuals who are under 18 must obtain the consent of parents or legal guardian to join the Program.

The Program cannot be used for business purposes. Companies, unions or other organizations will not be eligible to participate. M·A·C PRO members are not eligible to participate. M·A·C Employees can create an account in the Program for personal use."

You can join the Program by signing up with an Artist in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in Greece or at www.maccosmetics.gr. You will need to provide your name, zip code and email address. If signing up online, you will need to create a password. In order to access certain Program benefits and rewards, you will also need to provide us with your birthday.

The M·A·C Lover Loyalty Program has 4 tiers – Lover, Seduced, Devoted and Obsessed. Program Tiers are based on your qualifying purchases at www.maccosmetics.gr or on any M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail stores in Greece - during a calendar year.

When you join, you’ll automatically be placed in Tier 1, Lover and be eligible for all the benefits Lovers receive. Purchases of €150 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Seduced tier and qualify for Seduced benefits. Purchases of €300 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Devoted tier and qualify for Devoted benefits. Purchases of €450 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Obsessed tier and qualify for Obsessed benefits.

Tiers are based on a calendar year (Jan. 1 to Dec. 31) spend on qualifying products and services. In January of each year, your membership level will update based on the euro amount you spent on qualifying products and services during the previous calendar year and your spending eligibility will be reset to zero for the new calendar year. For the first year when an existing consumer enrolls to the program we will calculate her/his purchase 12 months before and we will assign him/her on the respective tier (without any redeemable points but he/she would be eligible for the other benefits of the tier by day 1).

Exclusively for the 1st cycle of calendar year 2019 and due to special circumstances, the loyalty program is being re-extended until 31/12/2020. This means that your points and privileges are still valid until the end of 2020.

The Program also offers a point collection scheme. You earn one point for every one euro value in purchases. Points may also be earned by non purchase activities like social media sharing and product reviewing. Points may only be redeemed in exchange of free products (you can see the available products in the Mac Lover page) within the calendar year that they were earned and may not be carried over to the next year.

Each member tier has its own list of benefits.

Tier 1-LOVER

Tier 4-OBSESSED

You can either join the Program by following the steps on the www.maccosmetics.gr or by talking to an Artist in a MAC Store. When you join the Program, you are automatically placed in the Lover tier and qualify for its benefits.

"Some Program benefits require a purchase to qualify for the benefit. Purchases of €150 or more in a Program cycle are required to advance to the Seduced tier and qualify for Seduced benefits. Purchases of €300 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Devoted tier and qualify for Devoted benefits. Purchases of €450 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Obsessed tier and qualify for Obsessed benefits.

To earn Program benefits, you must be enrolled in the Program, you must provide your Program member identification number or email address at the time of the purchase, and purchases must be made on qualifying M·A·C Cosmetics products in M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail stores in Greece, or on www.maccosmetics.gr. Qualifying purchases include regular priced merchandise and services, and exclude gift cards, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges or other excluded charges and/or purchases specified by us from time-to-time, including, but not limited to, certain charitable products where funds are donated to M·A·C Aids Fund or any other charitable organization, value sets, select premium products and services, and other specified products."

Program tiers are based on your calendar year spend at M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail stores in Greece, and www.maccosmetics.gr. In December of each year (starting with December 2019), your membership level and account status will update based on the euro amount you spent on qualifying products and services during the previous calendar year and your spending eligibility will be reset at zero for the new cycle. For example if you spend € 150 in a cycle on qualifying purchases, your account will update to Seduced status in December of the following year. Your spending will be set at zero and start accumulating with each qualifying purchase from December 1st. During each calendar year, you can unlock a higher loyalty tier by spending the amount required on qualifying products and services to be eligible for that tier.

The purchases are accrued to your account for online purchases in www.maccosmetics.gr after invoicing, payment and confirmation from the courier of the payment (for orders with cash on delivery). While the purchase from MAC points of sale that participate on the Program are accrued immediately. It may take up to 15 days for eligible purchases and other Program activities to post to your account.

Your membership level and account status is accessible in your account online or with an Artist in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in Greece.

You identify your M·A·C Lover membership by providing your email address, mobile or card number to an Artist in any M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail store in Greece.

M·A·C Lover Devoted and Obsessed members receive a special gift every year in their birthday month, if they have provided their birth date in their account profile. The birthday gift will be send to your address during the month of your birthday.

Exclusively for our Seduced, Devoted and Obsessed members, complimentary makeup applications can be booked at participating M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated stores in Greece. To book your complimentary makeup application, contact your local store and provide your name, email and preferred contact phone number. Makeup applications are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. Click here to find your local store.
For the current period, you have the option to redeem the makeup service you are entitled to, online, via video call. Contact us at one of our stores or online via our live chat service, to book your personal appointment. In-store make up services have been temporarily suspended.

You may redeem free products (you can see the available products in the Mac Lover page) of value corresponding to the points earned. Redemption must be made within the same calendar year and non redeemed points are not carried over. You may select one or more free products within the calendar year depending on your points earned. Points may only be exchanged for the redemption of free products.

Your preferred store is the store you have selected as your favorite and most often visited M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in Greece. You can update your preferred store by contacting an Artist on a MAC owned and perated store in Greece.

If you are on the Seduced tier or higher you would be eligible for free standard shipping on all your online orders. The offer will automatically apply on the checkout only if you already signed in with your account.

You can manage your email preferences in your M·A·C Cosmetics account online and from the link at the bottom of each email communication. Email communications from M·A·C Cosmetics tell you about exclusive opportunities, benefits, the latest collections from M·A·C Cosmetics and much more.

You can update your information by logging into your account online in the profile section or by informing an Artist in-store. Please note that you must contact Customer Service at 2106595700 or email CustomerService@gr.maccosmetics.gr in order to change the birthday associated with your M·A·C Lover account.

You can reset your password by selecting ‘Forgot Password’ at the login page.

If you have questions related to your membership account, please contact Customer Service at (+30) 210 6595700 from within Greece or via email CustomerService@gr.maccosmetics.gr. In case of email communication you have to include the name and the email related to your account, the date of the questionable purchase and the issue you are facing. The communication should take place in a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the purchase.

Unless you already opted in to additional and other uses of the information you provided at the time you enrolled in the Program, your information will be used to provide you with services and offers related to the Program including identifying your membership to provide you with a program tier and corresponding benefits. The personal data of the participants will be kept based on our Privacy Policy.

By becoming a Program Member, you or your parent or legal guardian, if you are an eligible minor, agree that you/they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Program Terms and Conditions of Participation and by any changes or modifications we may make.

Tier benefits expire at the end of each cycle. At the beginning of each cycle, you will be provided with new benefits based on the tier you qualified for from your spend in the prior cycle.

Each year on the first day of the new cycle, your M·A·C Lover spend resets to zero. While your spending resets each cycle, your tier status is determined by the amount you spent on qualifying purchases in the prior cycle of membership. Your status in a particular tier is good for the cycle in which you qualify for that tier and the following full cycle. After that, you’ll need to spend enough to qualify for that tier each cycle. For example, if you qualify for Tier 2, Seduced, during your first cycle, you’ll maintain Seduced status during your second cycle. But, if you spend less than 150€ on qualifying purchases during your second cycle, you’ll drop back down to Tier 1, Lover status in the first day of the next cycle.

Estee Lauder Hellas S.A., in its sole discretion, can terminate any Member for any reason including, but not limited to, any failure to comply with the Program terms & conditions and/or our website terms and conditions. Participants shall not have the right to file a claim against Estee Lauder Hellas S.A in such event.

If your membership is terminated or expires, any rewards or benefits in your account will automatically terminate.

Yes. We may, in our discretion, cancel, modify, restrict or terminate the Program or any aspect or feature of the Program at any time without prior notice, even though such changes may affect the value of rewards or benefits already accumulated or earned and/or the ability to redeem accumulated rewards or benefits. Participants shall not have the right to file a claim against Estee Lauder Hellas S.A in such event.

If the Program is terminated, your rewards and benefits will automatically terminate. We will advise Members of the effective date of termination of the Program, rewards and benefits.
